The Indiana Child Support Bureau is in the process of implementing a new statewide child support system for local child support offices. This new system will allow your local Clerk and Prosecutor Offices to better serve children and families across the State of Indiana.
The Blackford County Clerk is the recordkeeper of Circuit and Superior Court files. Clerk’s office collects court costs, traffic violations (cash or money order) payments and child support payments (cash only). Marriage license: One of the parties must be a resident of Blackford County. License good for 60 days. License fee is $29.00 (cash). Both parties must appear together in Clerk’s office before 3:00 p.m. to obtain license.
The Area Planning & Zoning office provides building permits. Permits are required for Porches, Decks, Sheds, Garages, Pole Barns, Homes, Signs and more. Permits are not required for interior remodeling. Please contact the office if you have
