Mike found a huge problem with a leak that bigger HVAC company missed twice. Great professional service.

Our gas fireplace went out and I could not get the pilot restarted, so I did a Google search and found HearthSmart. I called and spoke to Dan (now operating as Speck Gas Fireplace) who suggested a cleaning and tune up since the fireplace had not been serviced for a long time. I agreed and scheduled the appointment.
I must say my expectations were more than surpassed with the excellent service I received. Dan arrived promptly at the appointed time and was very friendly and professional. He wore shoe coverings to protect our floors and spread a blanket down to contain any debris. Dan disassembled and thoroughly cleaned the entire fireplace, testing the various components as he went. He even painted the inside of the firebox and touched up a blistered spot on the outside around the glass.
When Dan was finished, the fireplace looked and operated like it was new instead of 20+ years old. All this was done at what I considered an extremely reasonable price (that was quoted at the time of my original call).
I would heartily recommend Dan's service to anyone with a gas fireplace and will certainly use this provider for all my needs in the future.

Very Professional. Used furniture pad to keep entire floor protected. Cleaned entire fireplace, shop vacuumed all and found bad pilot. They had one on truck. Entire service and repair only 1.5 hours.

My experience with HearthSmart was great. I had an issue with my gas fire place & my original installer no longer serviced them. I found Hearth Smart on line & their reviews looked positive so I thought I would take a chance with them. I made a great choice. Dan arrived on time. He worked clean & when he left, my fireplace looked like the day it was installed. Most importantly, the problem I was having, intermittent gas ignition, was corrected. Michael was fantastic, in and right to work, I thought my see-through gas fireplace needed repaired, it only needed a good cleaning and that is what it got. He did the same to my gas Pedestal stove and even installed a new spark ignitor. The service was GREAT! We will use them again.

My gas fireplace wouldn't start so I went to the phone book and decided to use Hearthsmart because their ad said they were NFI Certified, Insured, had been in business 30+ years, and serviced all major brands.



Wow! Am I glad I selected Hearthsmart. Turns out the fireplace wouldn't start because the double A batteries in the remote control unit in the wall were leaking. Mike cleaned those up and asked me if I wanted to service the fireplace. I decided to go with the full service.



He took everything apart, cleaned EVERYTHING, checked for gas leaks, even repainted the walls inside. I watched as he meticulously placed the "embers".



I was very impressed. I've recommended Hearthsmart to friends and will continue to do so. And, of course, they are now my "goto" fireplace experts.

Very professional and knowledgeable! I called b/c my fireplace wasn’t working. Dan asked a few questions and offered a suggestion on how to get it working again! The over the phone suggestion worked, instead of just setting up an appointment (at $). I appreciate the honesty and gives you faith there are good honest people out there not wanting to rip you off!

Rarely do you ever say that you underpaid for a service. I spoke with Dan and he listened to all of my concerns and found a variety of issues with my fireplace (incorrect installation, faulty installation, cleanup, etc.). The cost was extremely reasonable and after repairing logs, cleaning my glass, reinstalling a safety connection, paint, etc. I cannot say enough. Great Value! Great Service! I am incredibly satisfied and appreciative of the excellent work done! Thank you! I will be passing this information to everyone I know!

I am so pleased with the service, very reasonably priced, everything is working wonderful, we are able to use our fireplaces that had been dormant for about 15 years. I feel like we have a new home!! Thanks so much!!
