        Established in 1980. Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy, formerly Metropolitan Physical Therapy, was established in 1982 by Sherrie Glasser, M.S. P.T. and has remained privately owned and operated by her all of these years. Michael Mayrsohn DPT, physical therapy director and Sherrie Glasser's son, works at 3 of the 6 offices to make sure patient care is number one. We have been providing the highest quality and most comprehensive care possible to each and every patient for 30 years! Over those years, we have opened locations in Manhasset/Great Neck, East Hills/Roslyn,Garden City/Westbury, Bellmore, Rocky Point, Oceanside, Long Beach, and Kew Gardens. In fact, Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is one of the largest privately owned and managed facilities in the region.         I was surprised how much one on one time they spend with you during your treatment. The therapist I worked with was so nice and explained my condition better than the doctor did.

        I have been coming to Metro physical therapy for 4 months already and thus far I have had an amazing experience with Matthew Sarrel along with Alex Samuel. Matthew is a very intelligent therapist who has so far made my rehab extremely efficient and effective. I want to recommend Metro physical therapy and Matthew to all people looking for a fast and effective recovery!!!

        My experience with Metro Physical Therapy has been phenomenal. The staff is knowledgeable, encouraging, courteous, and competent. I first went to Metro with several minor muscle strains and tightness which not only caused chronic pain but also prevented me from performing my usual workout regimen. The service I received at Metro PT not only eliminated the pain and limited range of motion I was experiencing in my upper and lower limbs, but it also helped strengthen my muscles and correct imbalances to improve my performance. Thanks to Metro Physical Therapy I have not only recovered from my injuries, I have returned to weightlifting stronger and more balanced than ever before.
