U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer

I am finally cooled down enough to write this. After "reserving" a truck for my move 3 weeks in advance, I was called the DAY before and told I could pick up my truck the next day at 5pm! I needed the truck at 8am. Everyone from the local owner on up passed the buck saying they could not control when people returned their trucks. The local supervisor and her flunky were downright rude and lacked any kind of customer service skills. I finally connected with a corporate CSS who was polite and understanding but still could not guarantee me a truck! He informed me that the truck they did have reserved for me the following day at 5 had to be picked up in Annapolis (I was moving from Elkridge to Bel Air!). No where between Bel Air and Annapolis (?) could U-Haul find a truck for me for the am. It was strange that my son was able to locate one thru a local dealer here in Bel Air on his own as long as he swore on my head that we would have it back by 4pm - I guess for someone who reserved it for the day before . . . . . This whole episode was reminiscent of the Seinfeld episode when Jerry and Elaine went to pick up the rental car they had reserved. They could "take the reservation but they couldn't hold the reservation."
The real kicker was the local U-Haul dealer whom I had originally reserved my truck from had nerve enough to call me Saturday afternoon at about 4pm reminding me my truck would be available at 5.

Ps- the truck we picked up in Bel Air was picked up at 10am driven to Elkridge, loaded and unloaded in Bel Air and returned to the dealer by 2:30 pm.
