Dental Sealants
Sealant are one of the best ways to prevent a cavity from starting. A sealant is basically a plastic coating over the top surface of the tooth that eliminates all those deep pits in your teeth where bacteria start to cause cavities.

Fillings
Veneers
Our office uses the most advanced metal free crowns that are bonded to the prepared tooth. Since the cement used is light cured, you leave being able to chew on your new tooth right away. A veneer is a crown that only covers the front and sides of your tooth. When removal of the natural tooth structure is required or when a significant color change beyond the capabilities of bleaching is necessary, porcelain veneers may be the ideal choice to achieve a beautiful and natural smile.
Crowns
CEREC is a camera, computer and precision manufacturing machine all in one. We use CERECâ€™S built in camera to take a picture of the damaged tooth. Using this image, the CAD (Computer Assisted Design) function of the CEREC designs the porcelain restoration. Then, the CAM (Computer Assisted Manufacturing) function mills the restoration out of a block of porcelain. We check the crown in your mouth to make sure it fits properly before sintering and glazing it in our oven. This process increases the strength of the porcelain and provides the esthetic finish. Bridges
Dental Bonding
These light cured composites are extremely cosmetic and most often bonded into place in one appointment. For this reason, this is often referred to as â€œbondingâ€ . These fillings can be used in both the front of the mouth as well as in your back teeth. These materials come in a variety of shades so that they will match the color of your own teeth. When we refer to Direct Composite Bonding we are typically referring to procedure where white filling materials are bonded to the surface of healthy tooth structure. Direct Bonding is usually done for cosmetic reasons to help us change the shape and contour of a tooth while preserving natural tooth structure.

Root Canal Treatment
The first step in a root canal is to obtain access to the nerve. This is accomplished by establishing a small access opening in the top of the tooth. It will be done under a local anesthetic.

Deep Cleaning
The goal is to control the bacteria that cause the infection. Through root planning (the mechanical removal of plaque and calculus in the office) and proper home care a person can successfully maintain good oral health.

Dentures
There are several reasons: Why sacrifice the structure of surrounding good teeth to bridge a space? In addition, removing a denture or a â€œpartialâ€ at night may be inconvenient, not to mention that dentures that slip can be uncomfortable and rather embarrassing.

Jaw Surgery
The goal of Phase I Treatment is to develop the childâ€™s jaws to make room for the future eruption of permanent teeth and to improve the relationship of the upper and lower jaws. An upper or lower jaw that is growing too much or not enough can benefit from this early orthodontic treatment. This early correction can often prevent dental trauma, later removal of permanent teeth or even jaw surgery. Leaving a severe condition untreated until all permanent teeth erupt could result in a problem too severe to correct with braces alone. The treatment time for Phase I treatment is usually between 9-18 months. After this, our patients wear retainers and are checked every four to six months while waiting for the remaining permanent teeth to erupt.
Tooth Extractions
Using the most recent advances in dental implant technology, Dr. Pete is able to place single stage implants. These implants do not require a second procedure to uncover them, but do require a minimum of twelve weeks of healing time before a permanent artificial tooth can be placed. There are even situations where the implants can be placed at the same time as a tooth extraction â€“ further minimizing the number of surgical procedures.
Bone Grafting
If you are considering implants, your mouth must be examined thoroughly and your medical and dental history reviewed. If your mouth is not ideal for implants, ways of improving outcome, such as bone grafting, may be recommended.

Orthodontics
Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Chris completed a one-year postgraduate residency in New York. In 2011, Dr. Chris completed a two-year orthodontic program called Progressive Orthodontics which comprised of over 400 hours of lectures dedicated to orthodontics. Dr. Chris has been providing orthodontic treatment to adults and children for the past 8 years. Dr. Chris is also an Invisalign provider. Dr. Chris is a member of the Minnesota Dental Association, The American Dental Association, and The American Orthodontic Society.

Braces
The goal of Phase II Treatment is to position all the permanent teeth to maximize their appearance and function. This is best accomplished with full braces or Invisalign and is usually between 12-18 months long. Due to the improvements made in Phase I Treatment, Phase II Treatment requires less patient participation (no headgear and less rubber bands), often eliminates extraction of permanent teeth and reduces the time spent in full braces. This is especially important for patients as they enter their teenage years!
