The Metropolitan Youth Collaborative, located in Detroit, is a nonprofit organization that serves youths and families. The organization s the Countdown to Success program serve students in grade 12 and focuses on college applications and scholarship programs. It provides a support program that includes college and leadership development activities for students in grades 8 through 10. The Metropolitan Youth Collaborative offers a college savings match program that involves learning and applying economic management principles. The organization also provides a male mentoring and development program for boys and a self-efficacy project for girls. Its Young Community Investors is a summer leadership institute that focuses on employability training, college preparation and community services. The Metropolitan Youth Collaborative offers a writing project that serves aspiring young writers. The organization is a part of the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit.
