Ricardo's Mexican Cocina

This is another old Chico restaurant, been around for a long time. The staff is always very friendly and gracious, (even if you have a messy baby spilling rice on the floor!) and the food is consistently of good quality and always served very hot. They have a "super hot" salsa and then the regular salsa that comes with the chips. They let you know which is which by putting a spoon in the "super hot" bowl of salsa - and they aren't kidding - it's spicy! The only negative is the fact that you don't automatically get free chips and salsa like you do at most Mexican restaurants - they cost extra here. In spite of that little drawback, we have friends and family members who will not go out for Mexican food anywhere except Ricardo's - nothing else will do.
