Found Holt in a Living Social ad and decided to try....Loved it so much we continued. My daughter learned alot. Holt is an excellent instructor. Works well with children. My daughter loved the atmosphere of being in an art studio too. She sayes she can describe the classes in one word....Awesome...

Holt's School of Fine Arts is for anyone looking for incredible, authentic, personalized and affordable drawing and/or painting instruction. We discovered Holt when my daughter was in kindergarten and have returned to her for her expert guidance in building a portfolio as my daughter seeks admittance to NorthWest School of the Arts in Charlotte.

As both a participant and an observer myself, I have seen that Holt approaches students of all ages and ability levels with the same warmth, patience, respect and honest, genuine encouragement- she truly embodies teaching perfection. Holt is extremely talented and skilled in her work as an artist, demonstrating grace and soul, issuing helpful criticisms with calm reserve. What is most exciting about Holt's school is that, for kids and teens, is that it offers the only fine arts instruction of its kind in the QC. Kids as young as six draw from life, as they learn to translate shapes, tones, angles and proportions to the canvas using charcoal and oil paints to create two-dimensional masterpieces which spring to life! A must for anyone in search of a quality authentic fine arts experience that far exceeds the norm.
