Charleroi Regional of of Police

I was staying alone in an apartment (temporarily after being dislocated by a fire in my regular apartment building) down the street from this police department. On December 4, 2012 at approximately 5 a.m. the police kicked in the door in search of the previous tenant, who had left a month before. The landlord had repeatedly informed the wanted individual's parole officer that the individual had moved out, so the police should have known the previous tenant was no longer there.



After damaging the door, the police proceeded to question me. Despite telling them that the individual no longer lived in the residence, one officer continued to yell at and dogmatically question me as though he were interrogating a murder suspect. (I would file a complaint against him, but at the time I was too disoriented to collect names and badge numbers.)



What a waste of taxpayer dollars. I'm glad my stay in Charleroi was temporary, because I don't feel safe with such incompetence from officers of the law.
