It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups, even during your orthodontic treatment. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure you receive the best possible care.

Keep your retainer clean, too, by brushing it gently with a toothbrush and toothpaste. You may also soak it in denture cleaner as instructed by your orthodontist. Do not put your retainer in boiling water or in the dishwasher.

This patient's lateral incisors were congenitally missing. She had braces for 20 months to move the teeth into their correct positions, then the missing teeth were replaced with bonded "Maryland" bridges. Which nowadays are commonly replaced with implants.

I joined Homestead Park Orthodontics in 2022 after my family moved from California. I'm originally from Illinois where I graduated from Kaskaskia College with a certification in dental assisting in 2014 and continued onto John A. Logan where I graduated with a degree in dental hygiene in 2016. Here at Homestead Park Orthodontics I welcome all current and new patients into the office. I assist patients and parents will all scheduling and billing services. I have been in orthodontics since graduating college and have loved every minute of it. I love to see how a new smile can give a patient all the confidence in the world!
