East Camden Middle School is a coeducational institution that has an annual enrollment of more than 700 students in grades five through eight. It is operated by Camden City Public Schools, which also operates other elementary, middle and high schools, as well as alternative education and early childhood centers. The school provides various youth services, such as health screening, substance abuse and family education programs, housing assistance and Girls Scouts. It has a library media center that assists students in the development of information literacy skills necessary for independent lifelong learning. The school s academic curriculum includes health, physical education, language arts, speech, computer science, math, business technology, art and science. East Camden Middle School, established in 1968, is located in Camden, N.J.
