Gold Material Montessori School is committed to quality education for children ages 2 to 6 years, and provides a varied curriculum based on the Montessori Method. The School's approach encourages children to learn through self-motivation within a carefully prepared environment. The multi-age setting offers the child an opportunity to relate to, and work with others at his/her developmental level. At all levels and in all areas, our school places the needs of the child first. Respect for the child is the cornerstone of Gold Material Montessori School's philosophy. Gold Material Montessori School is an independent private school located in the heart of Brooklyn. It was founded in 2004 and initially offered short classes to the children who needed special help or were falling behind the children of the same age group. Then in 2006, we relocated and built a new spacious school at 105 Kings Highway. Our children are engaged in the enormously important work of developing an orderly mind, a skillful hand and body, a sense of self-confidence and self-esteem, thereby laying the foundation for a healthy and constructive social life. We work with all children, including those who have been classified as "difficult" and with those who have developmental delays compared to their coevals. We serve children ages 2 through 6.
