William E. Carlson is the president of the Firm and the chair of the Firm's business department. Wrongful Termination
Successfully defended a financial institution in wrongful discharge, misrepresentation, and fraud claims brought a by former manager. The Circuit Court for Frederick County entered judgment in favor of the financial institution at the close of the plaintiff’s case. The judgment was affirmed on appeal by the Maryland Court of Special Appeals.

Ann Clary Gordon is a partner of the Firm, chairs the Firm's real estate practice group, and is a member of the Firm's business law department. Brady L. Thompson, an associate in the firm’s Banking & Financial Services Group, represents financial institutions throughout the commercial lending process, from loan origination to workouts. She represents lenders in commercial lending transactions, restructuring loan facilities, negotiating and documenting forbearance agreements, bankruptcy, collateral liquidation, and other creditors’ rights matters. She also has considerable experience in post-judgment enforcement measures, such as garnishments, commercial landlord tenant matters, and contract disputes.

Successfully defended a large national insurer against a complex property-damage claim, resulting in a resolution of the claim for a fraction of the claimed amount.

Mr. Applefeld also represents businesses and individuals in contract disputes, partnership breakups, business dissolutions, and conspiracy, fraud, and RICO claims.
