Happy Kids in home curriculum based Child Care is owned and operated by its founder and CEO, Valerie Burton. In business since 1992 Happy Kids Day Care is licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education. Valerie and staff are all CPR, First Aid, AED and SIDS certified. Valerie is an certified instructor under the guidelines and training of the American Heart Association , accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), certified as a Maryland Excel’s Quality Rated Program participant and a member in good standing with the National Association for the Education Of Young Children (NAEYC), the National Association Family Childcare (NAFCC), and it’s affiliates. Valerie has 23 years of child care experience and is preschool, infant, toddler, and school aged certified plus holds a directors certificate along with a MSDE Excels credentialed level 5. In February 2015, Valerie had a level one quality assurance rating with the Maryland state department of education for early childhood learning development. In April 2015 she attained a level two rating and in May 2015 she has attained a level 3 rating. Her goal is to continue self improvement so that she can teach and improve many childrens lives to prepare them for kindergarten or private school. Happy Kids Day Care’s mission is to provide each child with a safe, loving, nurturing and motherly environment. Our primary goal is to provide a solid foundation for each child by instilling confidence and a love of learning that will allow them to achieve a happy and prosperous life.
