- Agape Acres is a farm type environment, not a fancy "foo foo" kennel. We believe that for a dog to be happy and healthy they need plenty of room to run and play, not to be stuck in a kennel. That is exactly what we offer at Agape Acres.

Simple summary of our experience with Agape Kennel would be VERY poor customer service. But even worse then the way she treated us was how she interacted with our dogs. The owner of Agape Acres Kennels is anything but a "dog person" which seems very out of place since dogs are her business. Strongly suggest you stay away from this kennel.

I have boarded Lady my "special needs dog" with Mike and Nancy several times and have to say that this negative review is way off base. They are ALWAYS out with the dogs in the play yards. My dog is a sweetie but skittish around strangers. Mike and Nancy immediately picked up on this during our first visit and knew exactly how to approach Lady and make her feel very comfortable. I have NEVER seen Lady warm up to anyone as quickly as she did to them. They asked a lot of questions about temperament, past experiences and I could tell that they were determining which play group to put Lady in because on their excellent understanding of dog psychology. I would never hesitate to leave my beloved, spoiled rotten dog with Mike and Nancy. She ALWAYS comes home a little dirty, somewhat exhausted and extremely happy! The negative reviewer mentioned loud barking several times in their review. Well DUH!...thats what dogs do when they are having fun and being dogs. BOTTOM LINE: If your dog is a pampered pooch then this place definitely is NOT for you. If your dog likes to romp and play with others until falling over completely exhausted and totally happy, then this is the place for you.

My sheltie had a wonderful experience at Agape Acres. He came home after his stay there a very happy guy. In the past at another kennel, my dogs came home "shell-shocked" and although I didn't know why, I knew I had to find another kennel.

Mike and Nancy,
Thank you so much for taking care of our dogs while my family was on vacation, they loved it and so did we!!
Knowing we have a kennel where we can trust our dogs are fully cared for is such a wonderful feeling. The guys were exhausted from all the play time and swimming pool fun, they were so spoiled.
Thanks again so much and we look forward to doing business with you again soon!
The Mouton's.

Provided by SuperpagesMy husband and I moved to Austin, TX just a year ago. We are so pleased to have found Agape Acres and made Mike and Nancy's aquaintance! We have boarded all three of our dogs there and take our youngest dog to Doggie Day Care regularly. Our experiences have always been professional and positive. We feel confident that our animals are not just being cared for but loved as well! Great place! Great people! Kim and Brent Gilbertson

Mike and Nancy abviously love animals, and provide great care with lots of love. Our German Short Hair Pointer has TONS of energy, and loves expending it all at AGAPE every time she gets the thrill of staying there. We last picked her up while driving a Miata, and while sitting on my wife's lap she fell asleep with her head on my arm that was resting on the gear shift! She ran and played the whole time she was at AGAPE ACRES, and was also exhausted from all of the love and attention received while there. Mike and Nancy are just great, and we love knowing we have a great place to leave our dog for extended stays whenever necessary.

We have boarded our dog at Agape Acres several times when we have gone out of town. So these were extended stays. Each time went flawless. Duke was taken care of and fed very well. He hasn't been around very many other dogs. But that didn't faze Mike and Nancy. They were sensitive to that. And each time when we returned for him, he was romping with the other dogs there. So our experiences with Agape Acres have been very positive. If we need to board Duke again in the future, we will go back to Agape Acres.

I've taken my corgi to Agape acres for overnight boarding and play days about a half a dozen times and he loves it! In fact, when we turn onto the street he starts whinning with excitement. He loves it there. He gets to run and play with other dogs and absolutely loves it.

Agape Acres is a true playland for our dear four-legged friends. They have lots of room to run off the leash in the open air, play and just be dogs! Owners Mike and Nancy are genuinely caring, dog-loving folks. Our dogs give Agape Acres "5 paws"! Sheila Fassnacht

Provided by SuperpagesI have been taking my dog Jethro to Agape Acres for about a year now, and have been very impressed. I travel frequently out of town, and leave my him at their facility and he is always happy and clean whenever I pick him up. Their rates are reasonable, and the staff is very accommodating.
