JMK Painting

I have a small 600 square foot apartment. and wanted bathroom and kitchen renovations, and paint job So I called JMK Painting and made an appointment They did not show. I called them again and we rescheduled. About a week later, JMK came down and saw the apartment and we went over all that I wanted to have done. He said I would have an estimate the next day. Following day, I received no email and no communication. I called again he promised to email an estimate to me the following day. Again, the following day there was no communication. This continued for about 3 weeks.
In the interim, I decided to invite two other contractors to look at my apartment and give me an estimate as well. This way I would have three different estimates. Well, the seond contractor came to my apartment on time and looked everything over. Next day, this second contractor sent me an estimate for $19.450. About three days later, a third contractor came to my apartment (also on time and without hassle); they spent about 45 mintues looking at my apartment and discussing the renovation with me and the very next morning this third contractor sent me an estimate for $22.800. This was a little higher than the second contractor because he offered to make custom cabinets for my kitchen and they sounded terrific.
Finally, about 8 days after the second contractor gave me his estimate for $22,800, JMK Painting sent me their estimate for the requested work in my apartment. This was now about 4 1/2 weeks after JMK visited my apartment and discussed the work I wanted to have done. Their quote was for $41,280. (and, it didn't even include any type of custom work; everything in the kitchen and bathroom was going to be off the shelves of Home Depot).
Needless to say, I signed a contreact with the third contractor for $22,800. I found JMK Painting LLC to be unreliable, very slow and, most important, very much overpriced. I would not recommend them under any circumstances.
