Ann Rose School of Nursing Arts, Inc.

Please don't take the review of someone who cannot spell equipment correctly or use proper grammar. This school is wonderful! They are passionate and very helpful, and they WANT you to succeed. They have a very high passing rate (97% as of April 2013 if I remember correctly). The equipment is outdated, but it doesn't impact you in your learning. The teachers, Mabel and Gretchen, both have decades of nursing experience and they care. It's kind of like a "hole-in-the-wall" school, and we all know hole-in-the-wall restaurants are usually the best!

I have recommended this school to many people. Gretchen, the owner, is awesome! I disagree with the previous reviewer. Her employees are not afraid of her they love her. Her employees, some of which are her children and grandchildren, joke around about how she'll be mad but it isn't really serious. She is very dynamic and likes things her way and she's passionate about having great CNAs working in facilities and providing the best care that they can. She also used to serve on the Board of Nursing and is very proactive about teaching how to protect not only your residents but yourself and your license.

The facility the reviewer was speaking about has wonderful colorful residents. Unfortunately not all facilities have a lot of money. This is the real world after all.

Some of the equipment that is provided at Ann Rose is older, yes. However, again in the real world a lot of the equipment that is utilized in assisted livings is outdated. I'd much rather be aware of that than not know how to operate an older piece of equipment.

If you want a thorough education where they won't coddle you go to Ann Rose. They turn out excellent CNAs with the ability to adapt and handle any situation.

Don't go there. The owner of the school is not friendly and all the employes and teachers are scared of her. They will send you to your clinicals to a very deppressing nursing home. The acquitment @ the school is old and needs to be upgrated. Homeless people are causing troble in their parking lot and you will heard them yelling from the classromm.
