"The Roanoke Valley Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to improve the quality of life for animals and the people they touch in the Roanoke Valley. We strive to accomplish this mission by providing food, shelter, medical care and companionship to the homeless and unwanted companion pets of our area. By providing humane education, pet assisted therapy, meaningful volunteer experiences, and pet/owner training classes, we emphasize the importance of the human/animal bond and help to create loving relationships between pet and guardian.

Services/Products

The Roanoke Valley SPCA provides adoption services for homeless and unwanted animals, either stray or by owner relinquishment. Prior to adoption, all animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Community outreach programs include humane pet education; pet assisted therapy programs, and providing pet food to the less fortunate in our community. Through programs, services and community outreach, the RVSPCA accomplishes its mission to improve the quality of life for animals and the people they touch.
