Milestone Foundation

Milestone has been a big part of Portland recovery for many yrs.I recall being a small child, and it being called The Arney Hansen Center.I grew up on the East End of Portland& went down by there often being a young kid always thinking how discussing it was(the people).I've now become a woman with a couple teens and addiction has hit myself and my family in a big way,to put it mildly.We lost our mother and brother both of overdoses,not to forget the many friends and others that were like family.I just wanted to write and say thanks to you all for your hard work,as an addict myself I know we're not the easiest people to deal with:)I would like to say I had a step-dad growing up,that was there for me more than my biological one.He as well had an addiction to herion(as well as other stuff)He's become a true inspiration to myself & family.To see this man go from finding him in random places nodded out to overdosing in front of me,He now is a man I'm proud to say,"Yes that's my dad"!He also happens to be a part of your team at Milestone.Thanks Dad(W.W.W)
