American Star Diner

This was my first visit. I cannot think why I would go back. First, the young man who seated us tried to put us in a booth next to an open area with high chairs, serving equipment, etc. while the diner was nearly empty. No reason for that. If the diner were full of patrons and this was the only booth left, fine. But it wasn't. I ordered jumbo fried shrimp. They were not hot, and were like rubber. The salad bar was okay. Not bad, not great. The girls at the register need a course in basic customer service. When customers come up to the register to pay, the cashier should look you in the eye, smile, and say hello. They should thank you for eating there. The waitress was very good. Friendly, experienced. When she asked how everything was, I told her about the shrimp. If the owner had come over to the table, I would have given him a knife and asked him to try to cut the shrimp. However, no one said a word about my complaint. Linda Harris,, Schwenksville, PA
