I have been training dogs professionally since 1989 when my English setter, Charley, got a steady gig on Late Night with David Letterman as Charlie the Bubble-Eating Dog. I was originally taught the dominance method but found it to be too harsh. I switched to positive reinforcement but found it was ineffective at solving behavioral problems. I finally found a method called Natural Dog Training which , in my experience, is the best, most effective training method for training dogs and for solving behavioral problems. I offer one-on-one basic and advanced obedience training, proper puppy development, and the most effective treatment for behavioral problems. I also offer boarding and daycare in my Upper West Side apartment, free workshops on Canine PTSD and a low-cost support group for rescue dog owners.
