Love this place. The staff is very helpful and courteous. They take very good care of my father. They keep me well informed of his progress and needs.

We are not having a good experience with our elderly uncle's stay. None of the staff has returned a phone call about his condition, the treatment he is receiving, or his progress. NO ONE CALLS THE FAMILY BACK. We live in Nashville and our uncle is in Memphis. Please be more responsive to family members who are concerned about a loved one.

This facility may not have received any fines or penalties but the standard of care that my loved one received was subpar. The administration was transitioning to new management and understood that there were problems that they were in the process of addressing. However, the unprofessionalism, incompetence and incompassionate attitude of our assigned social worker overshadowed all of the positive experiences we had with the nursing staff. Additionally, it looked absolutely absurd for the CEO to run around trying to perform the duties and responsibilites that are assigned to the social worker. People beware! If you don't love your loved one and simply don't care about their health and well being, then Ashton Place is the perfect place for you.

Hated the experience. I rate it two thumbs down. This facility is a joke. God help the residents, particularly the ones that cannot speak or do for themselves. They keep them overly medicated to make their jobs easier. As with all facilities, we met some very caring staff members as well as less than desirable staff. We constantly requested meetings with the administration in order to make an informed decision regarding my loved one's care. The Administration made my loved one's transition from their facility to home very difficult. They were very unorganized up until the very minute we left the facility. Simple details like discharge time, status of home health care, discharge method, etc. were clearly not communicated timely. In the words of my loved one, Ashton treats their patients and residents like "storage". Please think twice before placing your loved one at this dump. I wouldn't leave a stray dog that I found wondering in the street in their care.

We began our process with Ashton Place on a very bad note. Between staff racism and condescension and apparent disregard of care, we were distraught that our loved one was forced to stay here. HOWEVER, after many meetings with the CEO and Director of Nursing, we have found ways to compromise. I will say that upper management makes every effort to satisfy the requests of patients and families. I do not really think that there is any such thing as a "good" nursing home or rehab center, but I think that the management of Ashton Place is trying to make their facility better. They have a long way to go, but they are the first to admit that. I appreciate their efforts to make this a livable situation for all involved.

I have written a review on this facility before, but I just wanted to reaffirm my disdain for this sorry excuse for a nursing home. Please don't be fooled by their so-called 'memory care unit'. It is a lock down unit for people they don't want to fool with--for people that they have more or less written off. They have inexperienced and incompassionate people working there. My husband passed away a year ago, and I feel obligated to warn people about this place. I was not allowed to call and check on my husband, and when I was there I was disrespected. Please DO NOT put your loved one in this facility; it should be closed!
