Academy Day Care

We are utterly floored by our experience here and of what we witnessed and were subjected to. The bizarre behavior, irrationality and attempts at intimidation were unconscionable. I will not air our experiences here, but welcome any private messages. No false or embellished statements in an attempt to defame the establishment will be made. Only facts, most of which are in writing from the establishment, as they occurred will be shared.Since my initial review, I have been contacted by others who had similar experiences. Negative reviews were met with harassment until they finally gave up and took them down. I am suspect of this being the reason that there is only one 1-star review on facebook and no reviews on yelp other than my own. But this is pure speculation.Note: Any attempt at coercion, harassment, intimidation through any form of contact in attempt to have me remove or alter my review as well as attempts at "black listing" with other establishments will not be tolerated and will be met with legal proceedings as well as additional reporting to, but not limited to, the Better Business Bureau and the TN DHS, Child Care Licensing Board. Feel free to contact me directly for specifics about my experience. I am still in shock from the handling and bullying involved. I simply would not recommend this facility and we are very fortunate to be going elsewhere.

I love the teachers at the Academy.My kids love them and ask about them on weekends LOL. I have never had a problem with incorrect accounting as the previous rating states. I have actually been credited for overpaying on a few occasions. I have two children who attend the academy ages 1 and 2. I think the previous review was made by a racist. How do you cater to a black parent? A parent is a parent regardless of their child's ethnicity. If you have an issue with a your children attending school with African-Americans you are going to have a problem because the city of Memphis is primairly black. Also if you didn't know the Academy is black owned and very well managed. I feel safe with my children there while I'm at work and there is no price I would't pay for that.

Be careful of your payments!! accounting is not correct...will add extra $$ for no reason...caters more to black parents. if you want a daycare with diverse kids & teachers this is not the daycare for you!!!!!! good luck!!
