no problems here!

I have been with this DR for 18 years now. I have had 3 surgeries and no problems. He always has gone above and beyond to care for me, and my whole family goes to him as well. I have another procedure next month and I anticipate a full recovery.

Dr. Rudman is a terrible md

He performed a simple operation - and cut off the circulation. 1" of the toe needed to be removed due to necrosis. I am permanently disabled due to his incompetence.

He has many malpractices cases pending against him and his colleagues. I strongly recommend you find another MD>

Arthritis
The ankles and feet are responsible for the body’s mobility. Arthritis can affect the joints and range of motion may be limited, as a result of the pain arthritis can cause. There are several kinds of arthritis, and there are a few types that can affect the feet. A degenerative form of arthritis is known as osteoarthritis, or OA, and it tends to happen to people who are middle-aged. A common symptom of the autoimmune disease that is referred to as rheumatoid arthritis, or RA, may lead to incurring a foot deformity, and it is often difficult to walk. An injury may cause post-traumatic arthritis to develop, which causes the cartilage to gradually wear away. Many patients have symptoms of arthritis that can consist of swelling, tenderness, and there may be pain while moving the foot. When the feet are affected by arthritis, patients may lose their sense of balance. If you have foot pain, it is suggested that you consult with a podiatrist who can determine if arthritis is present, and offer you correct treatment solutions.
Plantar Fasciitis
Different types of people can be more susceptible than others to developing a foot condition that is known as plantar fasciitis, due to the nature of their employment or lifestyle. For example, teachers might be one such group. There are many reasons for this. Specifically, teachers, especially elementary school teachers, spend a significant amount of the day on their feet. Teachers often walk around the classroom to check on students and spend a great deal of time standing at the board to instruct. As a result of all of this strain on the feet, the teacher may aggravate the plantar fascia, the band of tissue that runs from the toes to the heel in the sole of the foot, and plantar fasciitis can develop. This condition brings with it pain and inflammation, especially felt in the heel. If you are a teacher and are experiencing such pain, it is suggested that you contact a podiatrist today for immediate attention.
Cryotherapy
If you have plantar warts, your podiatrist may try different treatment methods depending on your specific case. Some treatments for plantar warts are peeling medicines (salicylic acid), freezing medicines (cryotherapy), or surgical procedures. Laser treatments and vaccines are also used to treat plantar warts.

In his final year of residency, Dr. Fox was elected by his peers to be Chief Resident of the podiatric surgical residency program.

Wound Care
The majority of minor foot wounds are easily treated. It can begin with stopping any bleeding, and by applying pressure to it. The next step is cleaning it thoroughly by using tap water, followed by covering it with a sterile dressing. It is beneficial to use waterproof dressings so people can easily bathe or shower. Diabetic patients often develop wounds they cannot feel, generally as a result of nerve damage diabetes can cause. Wounds on these types of patients can become severe quickly, and the urgency of maintaining proper wound care is crucial in protecting the foot. There are some wounds that can be painful, and it may be helpful to take over-the-counter pain medicine, which can provide temporary relief. Bunions
Common heel pain conditions include heel spurs and heel fractures. Morton’s neuroma is a condition that often comes with pain experienced at the ball of the foot, as well as sesamoiditis. Those suffering from discomfort in their arches may have flat feet or plantar fasciitis. Common issues that affect the toes include gout, bunions, blisters, corns and calluses, as well as hammertoe and ingrown toenail. An ankle sprains is also a common ailment that can lead to foot pain.

Corns
Corns and calluses are hard layers of skin that usually form due to friction. Generally, they will be in areas of the foot that are bearing weight, or areas that frequently rub against the shoe. Soft corns are typically found between the toes.
Ulcer
While it may not seem apparent with small ulcers on the foot, for diabetics, any size ulcer can become infected. Diabetics often also suffer from neuropathy, or nerve loss. This means they might not even feel when they have an ulcer on their foot. If the wound becomes severely infected, amputation may be necessary. Therefore, it is of the upmost importance to properly care for any and all foot wounds.

The area of the toes is generally warm and damp, unfortunately making it a great area for fungus to grow. If left untreated, the fungal infection can spread, which is why it’s so important to get professional help early on and look into your treatment options.
Lesions
If you suspect you have plantar warts, you may have the following symptoms: pain or tenderness while walking, a lesion that interrupts the ridges in the skin of your foot, small fleshy lesions on the bottom of the foot, or a callus where a wart has grown inward over a well-defined spot on the skin.

Fungal infections occur due to fungus getting through the cracks of the toes or cuts in your skin. Common signs that you may have a fungal infection include thicker than normal toenails, oddly shaped toenails, discoloration, a yellowish hue to the nail, and separation of the nail and nail bed. Treatment for an ingrown toenail will vary on a case by case basis. One form of treatment requires lifting the ingrown nail and placing a splint or piece of cotton underneath. Another method for a more severe case would involve partially removing the nail. For cases that need extreme care, the nail itself and tissue would have to be removed.
