Neurology
Dr. Semon Min has been a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic for nearly a decade, having graduated in 2000 from Cleveland Chiropractic College, Los Angeles, where in addition to her D.C. degree, she also received a certificate from the Chiropractic Neurology Diplomate Program. After completion of her formal education, Dr. Min built a private practice in Costa Mesa, California. Dr. Min also spent time at Modern Technology School in Santa Ana, California, where she served as a staff instructor teaching subjects ranging from general anatomy to x-ray physics. In August 2004, Dr. Min left private practice and joined the team at SCOP as one of our staff chiropractors. Dr. Min is also a certified Functional Capacity Evaluator and performs many of our functional capacity evaluations.

Radiology
The doctor’s who practice at SCOP set themselves apart from other medical offices by providing top-notch medical care for each of our patients, regardless of whether they are being seen for possible surgery, chiropractic maintenance care, post-operative rehabilitation, or any and all stages in between. Because our office is a multi-disciplinary facility, we are able to provide our patients with door-to-door service, where they can receive their treatment, as well as enjoy the benefits of having an in-house pharmacy, radiology department, and basic durable medical goods.
X-Rays
Computed Tomography
Depending on your individual medical condition and diagnoses, our doctors may order studies such as an MRI, a CT scan, or an electrodiagnostic test (EMG) to evaluate your spinal and/or peripheral nerve system. If you are treating with our internal medicine specialist, then our staff may also obtain a sample of your blood in order to perform any necessary laboratory testing that is necessary to make an accurate diagnosis, as well as an appropriate recommendation for your medical treatment plan.

General Surgery
A graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine, Dr. Bolling completed his General Surgery internship at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine. He then began his service in the USAF serving as a general medical officer, after which he went on to complete his orthopedic surgery training at San Francisco Orthopedic Residency Program and returned to the USAF. During his military career, he provided care for active duty soldiers, including casualties from the war. After his military service, he returned to California to train in the latest minimally invasive surgical techniques. He has also trained with Brad L. Penenberg, M.D., a leading surgeon specializing in Minimally Invasive Joint Replacement. After his fellowship, he began private practice and later joined SCOP in May 2009. He continues his research in these areas and has presented these topics to a variety of audiences throughout the country.

Minimally Invasive Surgery
Minimally invasive surgery often allows people who might not normally be candidates for open surgery to undergo surgical repair. Dr. Bolling specializes in this type of “low-impact” surgical option.
Joint Replacement
Orthopedic Surgery
He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center Brooklyn. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. He is also a member of the prestigious North American Spine Society.
Hip Replacement
The material used in most spine surgery cases performed by Dr. Schiffman is usually non-magnetic, so will not set off the metal detectors used at the airport for security screening purposes. There are, however, other types of hardware, such as the ProDisc artificial disc, or total knee/total hip replacement hardware, which are magnetic and would be expected to set off a metal detector. Therefore, it is our general policy to advise our patients who may be concerned with this potential issue, to take along a copy of their x-ray showing the metallic hardware that is implanted in their body, as this will generally satisfy any reasonable airport security screening concerns.
Knee Replacement
Although we would need to examine you in order to accurately determine whether or not your condition can be treated in our office, our doctors are trained in a wide variety of medical fields. As such, we are able to provide medical care for a multitude of medical conditions, ranging from something as simple as a musculoskeletal strain, to something more complex like a state-of-the-art artificial disc replacement in your back, or a minimally invasive total hip or knee replacement. If you are one of the few people that we cannot help, we will be honest with you and let you know that as well.
