Shoot Straight Lakeland

I have bought all of my hand guns at The Gun Shed, the staff members are very friendly and knowledgeable about the products. I would give them 6 stars if it were possible.

Salesman couldn't put down his cheeseburger long enough to talk to me. When I told him his "deal" was nearly $100 higher than his competition he said "Well every once in a while a blind squirrel finds a nut." He went back to his cheeseburger and I went back to his competition. My son and I laughed all the way there. I remember when Shoot Straight used to have a staff that could hold an intelligent conversation with you about firearms. Based on my last several visits those days are clearly gone. Now I just go elsewhere.

Their prices are relatively high. You can always do better at Budsguns, but it is good to handle a gun you're interested in and they do have rentals

I was in recently to pick up a Kimber I purchased at the gun show. I was helped quickly and got my purchases completed in no time. I was repeatedly asked by associates if I needed assistance while I was browsing.

The best gun store in Central Florida by far. A corporate store with a mom-and-pop atmosphere. The owner, Steve, is always polite and willing to give a fair deal on both firearms and accessories. The guys there know their stuff and are always happy to suggest the proper item for whatever application, without the typical "gun shop" attitude you usually get elsewhere. Customer service is unbeatable, and the gunsmith on site is knowledgeable and fair. It's nice to have a local full-service shop in CFL, who is trustworthy, and accomodating. If you haven't shopped there yet, you should. If you still shop elsewhere, it's your loss!! They will continue to get my money indefinitely.

They don't follow up on their promises, and they have limited experienced people working there. It feels like they are are doing me a favor instead of giving me real customer service I wouldn't recommend this store but the corporate store on 301 in Tampa near the fairgrounds is the one to go to

Friendly, but overpriced. Offered to give me a deal that was over MSRP. Staff does not know the technical aspects of their products.

I just went to their range and I have been a member for months now and the person who wrote that they dont have fans in the range is a liar. They have had fans since I have been going there which is several months. As far as their prices....They are lower than most if you ask for a discount you will get one. Great atmosphere, great knowledgable employees, clean store & range. I wont go anywhere else. Shoot Straight in Lakeland ROCKS.

Do not shoot here in August! Range is not air conditioned and inside temp =outside temp +++. Staff says air conditioning is too expensive, but they don't even have fans to move some air around. Like shooting in a steambath. Miserable conditions, could only stand half hour of this environment. Might come back in November, NEVER AGAIN in the summer time. Sheeeeeeesh !!!

Shoot Straight in Lakeland has a very friendly staff and they are very negotiable on their prices. I hear a lot of people talk about how high their prices are but thats because you are too stupid to see what is the best deal they can give you. Lakeland store and staff are awesome. The store is clean and nice and the range is also. I recommend Shoot Straight Lakeland over the other SS stores and any other local shop as well. Its nice to walk in somewhere and be greeted with a smile along with a variety of accessories and large amounts of ammo and a clean store and range. I have been to the Tampa store and they are rude and unhelpful. The Apopka store is okay but I really like the Lakeland store. Prices are a little high but you talk them down and they are more than willing to work with you.

If you ask for a great price they will give you one....
