Most newborns weigh between 5.5 to 10 pounds, with the average weight being about 7.5 pounds. Breast-fed babies may lose slightly more weight at first without cause for concern. This weight loss is from the los of excewss body water and is perfectly normal. Most infants will regain their birth weight by 14 days, double it by 5 months, and triple it by one year.

Primary Care
During graduate school Danielle was a National Health Corps scholar. Her move to New York was in order to fulfill her scholar obligation and work with an underserved population. She was proud to spend her first three years as a nurse practitioner providing primary care to people with developmental disabilities at Premier Healthcare in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx.
Ear Infections
Measles virus causes rash, cough, runny nose, eyeirritation, and fever. It can lead to ear infection, pneumonia, seizures, brain damage, and death.
Emergency Care
Rotavirus is a virus that causes severe diarrhea, mostly in babies and young children. It is often accompanied by vomiting and fever.
