Without x-rays, problem areas may go undetected.
X-rays
Orthodontic dentistry offers techniques which will realign the teeth and revitalize the smile. There are several treatments the orthodontist may use, depending on the results of panoramic x-rays, study models (bite impressions) and a thorough visual examination.
Oral Cancer Screening
During bi-annual check-ups, the dentist and hygienist will thoroughly look for changes and lesions in the mouth, but a dedicated comprehensive oral cancer screening should be performed at least once each year.

Fillings
Although studies indicate that there are no measurable health risks to patients who have silver fillings, we do know that mercury is a toxic material when we are exposed at high, unsafe levels. For instance, we have been warned to limit the consumption of certain types of fish that carry high levels of mercury in them. However, with respect to amalgam fillings, the ADA maintains that when the mercury combines with the other components of the filling, it becomes an inactive substance that is safe.
Veneers
Your dental health and comfort is our top priority, because of it we are proud to offer Dallas patients laser dentistry. Dr. Brewster believes that laser dentistry allows himself to perform many procedures with the drill. The laser better prepares the surface of the tooth so that bonding and veneers hold stronger and last longer. Many periodontal procedures can now be performed gently with little or no bleeding. The healing process is faster too.
Crowns
Crown lengthening is generally performed in order to improve the health of the gum tissue, or to prepare the mouth for restorative or cosmetic procedures. In addition, crown lengthening procedures can also be used to correct a “gummy” smile, where teeth are covered with excess gum tissue. Crown lengthening exposes more of the natural tooth by reshaping or recontouring bone and gum tissue. This treatment can be performed on a single tooth, many teeth or the entire gum line, to expose a pleasant, aesthetically pleasing smile.

We provide comprehensive care which ranges from basic services; including cleanings, sealants, and fillings; all the way up to smile restoration including braces, crowns, root canals and implants.

Gingivectomy and Gingivoplasty
Pocket reduction surgery (also known as gingivectomy, osseous surgery and flap surgery) is a collective term for a series of several different surgeries aimed at gaining access to the roots of the teeth in order to remove bacteria and tartar (calculus).
Deep Cleaning
The objective of scaling & root planning is to remove etiologic agents which cause inflammation to the gingival (gum) tissue and surrounding bone. Common etiologic agents removed by this conventional periodontal therapy include dental plaque and tartar (calculus).

Dentures
– Brush at least twice a day with an ADA approved fluoride toothpaste and toothbrush. Floss daily to remove food debris and plaque from in between the teeth and under the gumline. Brush or use a tongue scraper to clean the tongue and reach the back areas. Replace your toothbrush every 2 to 3 months. If you wear dentures or removable bridges, clean them thoroughly and place them back in your mouth in the morning.

Dental Implants

For more complex cases, our Dallas dentist uses a computer guided implant. Dr. Brewster also believes in educating each and every patient, giving them both options and providing full knowledge of dental implants. If you are still unsure of your decision at some point, Dr. Brewster also provides patients with before and after photos of implant procedures. When it comes to the actual treatment, Dr. Brewster places the implant, making sure to not destroy the tooth and salvaging your tooth structure while perfectly preserving your bone structure.

Ridge Augmentation
Ridge augmentation – Ridges in the bone can occur due to trauma, injury, birth defects or severe periodontal disease. The bone graft is used to fill in the ridge and make the jawbone a uniform shape.
Bone Grafting
Autogenous bone graft – In this type of graft the bone is removed from elsewhere in the body and implanted in the mouth. Common donor sites for bone grafting include the iliac section of the pelvis, the chin and the posterior third molar areas of the jaw. If large amounts of bone need to be harvested, the hip or the shin bone (tibia) is generally used.

Orthodontics is a specialized branch of dentistry that is concerned with diagnosing, treating and preventing malocclusions (bad bites) and other irregularities in the jaw region and face. ® does not interfere with eating because of its removable nature, and mechanically works in the same way as the traditional metal dental braces. Not all patients are candidates for Invisalign
Braces
Fixed dental braces can be used to expediently correct even the most severe case of misalignment. These braces consist of metal or ceramic brackets which are affixed to each tooth and an archwire which is used to gradually move the teeth through the duration of the treatment.

Teeth Whitening
Whitening - Lasers can greatly expedite the tooth whitening process by increasing the activity oe particles in the peroxide bleaching solution.
