Shogun Japanese Steakhouse

Do not eat here. The service was horrible and the food was the most awful thing I've ever tried eating. Go to fuji Japanese steak house in Jonesboro before you go here! This place is a nasty excuse for a restaurant.

We were waiting for our food for more than 1hr and 30minutes. After the chef finally came out, we were informed that the grill we were sitting at was broken and the meat would have to be cooked at another table. When we complained to the manager, he was extremelty rude, and at the end when we wanted to leave, the manager told us if we wanted fast food we should have went to McDonalds!!! What kind of Manager would sent a customer who is about to spend 150 dollars on their familly's food would tell you to go to McDonalds, or don't come back!! Obviously, the manager is rude and GHETTO....perhaps he should be a manager at McDonalds instead of telling paying customers to go there. He shouldn't have embarassed us at the restuarant in front of the other customers. The server was obviously embarassed and was very apologetic, we felt sorry for him. I don't know who the owner of this restaraunt is, but he needs to reconsider his very rude and ghetto management team.

I have frequented this Shogun many times ... good food and fun - but watch out - they are very quick in charging the 20% gratuity ... We happen to sit at the same table our neighbors were at and they took it upon themselves to include gratuity thinking we arrived together ... I just let them have their way, I WOULD HAVE TIPPED WAY MORE THAN WHAT THEY "FORCED" ME TO PAY ... thanks for saving me a couple of bucks! ... thats bad business and its happened to us on MORE than one occasion at shogun ... others have complained about it as well ...

This is almost a weekly event for our family. Price is comparable to others however the food is always great regardless of the cooks. We can always walk right in. Ask for ED if you can. All cooks are great but he is a personal favorite.
