I've been 3 times...2 as a walk-in and 1 with an appt. I've had 2 manicures and then I had a mani-pedi. I was charged $55 for the mani-pedi plus I went to Harris Teeter and got cash so I could leave a tip because there's no place on the receipt to leave a tip if you pay by credit card. I took a brochure home and it lists the mani-pedi for $45. That was on a Sunday so Mary wasn't there. I believe I was intentionally overcharged. There seemed to be some tension in the shop as the technicians were talking back and forth and it was constant. Even though I had an appointment, I sat for at least 30 minutes.

Very nice local south Charlotte nail salon. Rose gives the best massage and pedicure in town. She really takes her time. Five stars for Rose!! Everyone else is very friendly. The salon is very clean, the chair function perfectly and the price is very reasonable.

don't bother - the girl doing my pedicure certainly didn't, as I was holding up her lunch. She finished my pedi grabbed her purse and left the salon to pick up her order. I had no idea what to do, another person came by and told me to just sit there til I was dry.

It states on their List of Services "complimentary beverages are served" - we weren't offered even water. "Feet and legs are massaged" - unless this includes rubbing some lotion on my legs (which I admit did smell very nice nice", this step was also missed.

A positive - they do have good massage chairs, I had mine cranked pretty good and got a nice back massage.

But in all honesty it was a terrible pedicure - and I look forward to these so much! Thought I would support a business within walking distance of my house, but in this instance it was a mistake. I still have almost as rough heels as I had before I paid $35, so the most I got out of this was some cute pink polish.

Definitely will NOT go back

I do not know if this salon is licensed to do waxing but unfortunately I had a disastrous result this week. After a lip & chin wax, I experienced horrible burning. I looked in the mirror and saw raw removed skin. Mi, the manicurist & Mary, the manager assured me this was 'normal' & would be ok in a few hours. I have had waxing before & knew something was wrong. I was given some ice to apply. Blisters began to develop. I returned home feeling ill. It has been 4 days and my skin now appears brown & badly burned. Where some skin has peeled off there is red lumpy scaring. I have a wedding in 5 days & pray that I can find something to cover it. I have tried several products unsuccessfully. I am still in pain. This has been a disaster. I called the salon to report the problem and was told, 'I'm sorry.' I have since learned that if one uses retin-a or glycolic acid products, one must discontinue use before waxing. No one asked me if I used either. A licensed professional would/should be responsible enough to follow training directions & procedures, IF they are licensed in that procedure. I went in with beautiful skin. I thought it would be nice to treat myself to a well deserved day off with a couple of beauty services. My badly burned/removed skin is a horrible mess. If my dermatologist/plastic surgeon cannot correct this condition, I will investigate this salons licensing, file a complaint & take action. Be forewarned. Do not expect knowledgeable professional service at this salon or to offer any support if/when damaging procedures occur.
