National Car Rental

Emerald Club member for years and although this small location does ot have and Emerald Isle we rented here numorous times. We have always had a positive experience until our last trip. We returned the car before 0530am in a driving rain storm. Could not find a National employee to accept the return. The very small canopy did nothing to keep me from getting soaked. Three other cars were there parked and running; one with the window down. I assume another unhappy person who tried to return their car. Just as I was going to leave and the toss the keys behind their counter a person drove up. He said they would mail my receipt; which I still have not received 3 weeks later.

This National Location does not offer Emerald service - which is not advertised - so you find out after you have gone all the way to the parking lot with your luggage! The reservation got all messed up by the clerk at the counter. So they tried to overcharge me by almost $300 for 4 day rental. When I told them I would not pay the invoice the clerk seemed surprised ???? The lot attendant was great and helped replace the broken GPS that the counter clerk had first given me.
