Berkshire at Ashley River

Oh... My..... Goodness. We wouldn't recommend this complex to anyone we know! Wowza! As soon as Berkshires offered Monthly leases, we knew it was bad news. The type of people who rent apartments monthly are also the type of people rent hotel rooms hourly! C'mon! This place is rented to people who obviously like to throw parties on the weekends, as there is NEVER any parking (at your own building) on Friday and Saturday nights. Good luck trying to get to sleep after you have found a parking spot, the music and noise will probably keep you up all night. The "fitness center" is a joke! There is literally, no kidding, one elliptical, one stationary bike, one treadmill, and one weight machine. Hope you're not planning on using any of the FOUR machines, or you will be upset when you have to wait a half an hour... or when you walk in and find that it is hotter inside than it is outside.... or that your machine you like is broken.... still. Don't walk on the grass, you will certainly step in dog poop- I've never seen a single person pick up after their dog..... at least the grass is well fertilized... great money saving tactic in this economy! If you like being talked down to, people being rude to you, people hassling you over nothing, people that you have met over and over again forgetting your name and that you have met them before, PLEASE go meet the managment at this place. It is unreal. Don't take my word for it, go on site and speak with ANY person living there, they will tell you the exact same thing.... unfortunately for them, they have to stick out the remainder of their lease. One of our neighbors wants to move so badly but due to his poor health he has no way of moving and remains unhappily stuck in this dump. Poor guy. Don't make the same mistake that we did by signing a lease here!!
