General Info: P.S. 196 Ten Eyck is an educational institution that is affiliated with The New York City Department of Education. The school offers academic programs to more than 420 students in prekindergarten through grade five. P.S. 196 Ten Eyck conducts a variety of extracurricular activities, such as Broadway play days, scouting programs, field trips for sixth-grade students and field days. The school maintains a parent-teacher association and school chorus. P.S. 196 Ten Eyck supports the BEACON family support program, which is a community-based organization. It provides memberships to an after-school care program that is sponsored by the YMCA. It has alliances with the New York City Police Department and Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center.
