Trusts and Estates

Estate Planning
We represent clients in every aspect of estate planning, including drafting of estate planning instruments; reviewing the impact of estate tax laws on the disposition of assets, including life insurance benefits and retirement accounts; advising clients on the proper way to hold assets; and preparing and filing of gift tax returns. In addition to traditional estate planning, we assist those who wish to provide for family members with special needs, and we work closely with families to plan for the financial, health and residential issues of elderly clients.

Trusts
We act as trustees for numerous Trusts, coordinating investment planning, overseeing distributions provided in the trust documents, dealing with trust payments and expenses where required, preparing accountings, and preparing and filing fiduciary income tax returns. We also advise our clients who are trustees on the various aspects of trust administration, including preparation and filing of fiduciary income tax returns, preparation of fiduciary accounts, distribution of trust income and principal, and efficient management of trust affairs to reduce the incidence of income and estate taxes on the trust beneficiaries. We also advise trust beneficiaries on their rights and responsibilities with regard to trusts held for their benefit.
Probate

Tax Law
We assist our clients in every aspect of the settlement of estates, including the probate of wills, transfer of assets, preparation and filing of estate tax returns, post-mortem estate tax planning, and preparation and filing of fiduciary accounts.
